General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen face has occurred due to glomerulonephritis. I would like to say you the drug which can make this swollen issue subsides.

Prednisolone 1 mg/kg (up to 80 mg/day) orally once a day.

* Check your weight, if your weight is 60 Kg, then, 60 mg tab or closest dose available, should be taken.

You must do some tests:

1. Complete Blood Count, inflammatory markers, and special tests (including ASLO, ANCA, Anti-GBM, Complement levels, Anti-nuclear antibodies).

2. If possible, Kidney Biopsy.

3. Urine examination

4. KUB (kidney Ureter Bladder).

You do these tests and post another question with the results. Any doc here in HCM can follow you up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
